Magnolia Cafe Restaurant Review: You'll need the strong, limitless coffee to get you through the wait for a table during breakfast hours at this bohemian-style spot. The signature pancakes come in a cornucopia of flavors (gingerbread, corn, buttermilk, whole-wheat) and toppings of fresh berries make syrup unnecessary. We also like to plow through the "love" migas---scrambled eggs with fresh garlic, cilantro, black beans and jack cheese, or the fanciful omelets, available any time of the day. During lunch, nosh on the portobello melt sandwich; tropical turkey tacos; or the lovely California salad with fresh fruit, avocado, chicken, jack cheese and sprouts. Burgers, spinach enchiladas and fajitas keep those big Texas appetites happy, while creative non-meat options don't leave the vegetarians out on a limb. Dinner entrées are pricier and fancier with pasta and seafood specials.
