Mandarin Lotus Fine Chinese Fusion Cuisine Restaurant Review: Mandarin Lotus Fine Chinese Fusion Cuisine co-owner Kim Truong guides patrons through the dining experience at this Agoura Hills restaurant. Truong will help you choose an entrée from chef/co-owner Dan Chang’s interesting creations by zeroing in on what protein you like (tofu, shrimp, pork, beef, seitan or duck). Then she’ll gauge your tolerance for heat (mild to mind-blowing). And finally she’ll assess how adventuresome you’re feeling (not so much or knock my socks off). Some of the wilder options include an XO banana buffalo jerked chicken and garam masala wild boar pasta. A Korean pear purée is available over chicken, beef or shrimp, as is the blueberry-plum wine sauce and the Midori kiwi sauce. North Arctic clams come with a French basil sauce. Chang works hard to find organic ingredients of the highest quality. Complement your meal with one of the organic teas on offer. Note: This restaurant was formerly named Mandarin Express. |
