Spacious Marbella channels an old-time Spanish taverna with its exposed brick walls, dark wood floors and burgundy banquettes. The tapas-focused menu, under the direction of Pamplona native Fernando Echeverri, veers all over Spain from Catalonia to the Basque country and points in between. The restaurant offers some of everything, little of it particularly good. Flamenco performances and refreshing sangría---in red, white and sparkling options---will help steer your attention away from bland chicken, chewy steak and gloopy paella. The menu does offer a few winners, like the cheese-sauced fried golden potatoes and another tapas selection pairing squid with chorizo.
