Mare Bello Restaurant Review: Mare Bello's dining room has ample windows affording a generous view of the sea; white tablecloths grace the wood tables. The well-conceived northern Italian menu offers a meaty lobster tail served in an aromatic orange Grand Marnier sauce as well as large oven-roasted littleneck clams with garlic, porcini butter and smoked bacon. Pastas are al dente and simply but expertly prepared; fresh linguine with grilled chicken, peas, prosciutto and cream is well flavored in a balanced sauce. We also recommend the lightly breaded veal with Parmigiano cheese in a lemon and white wine sauce that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Desserts are comprised of American and Italian classics like cheesecake and tiramisu. The wine list featuring regional selections complements the menu.
