Mario's Restaurant Review:

This small restaurant is stuck in a corner of a nondescript strip mall, but inside, there is warmth and consistency. Family-owned, it serves a menu that is typically Italian. There's a heavy emphasis on pasta dishes and diners have a choice of at least five: spaghetti, linguine, penne, fettuccine and ziti, and a wide range of toppings. A half-dozen veal entrées appear on the menu with chicken Parmigiana and calamari Toscana, as well as the grouper Mario (in-season grouper sautéed with lemon-white wine-butter sauce with capers, pine nuts and mushrooms, and marinara). The wine list is limited to about a dozen labels, but several are compatible with the pastas. Be sure to ask about the daily specials and the changing choices of dessert, which include homemade cannoli. Service is as friendly as the menu.
