This is the sister, or should we say brother, restaurant to the original Mario’s Bohemian Cigar Store in North Beach. We say brother because Mario’s son Paolo is the owner of this Polk Gulch outpost of Italian fare. But unlike the original, this Mario’s is a full-fledged restaurant. So, in addition to the trademark panini, look for good-size portions of pastas, pizzas and meat dishes.
