| Situated near Burbank Town Center, this family-run Italian caffè features a casual atmosphere and hearty Italian cooking. If you order antipasto, you’re entitled to unlimited trips to the antipasto bar, for bruschetta with smoked mozzarella, roma tomatoes and balsamic vinegar; prosciutto di Parma with melon; and clams cooked in wine, parsley and garlic, among other delicacies. Wood-fired dishes include Tre Formaggi pizza with ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan and prosciutto; and the chicken pesto calzone with mushrooms. Seafood is either grilled or baked in white wine in a brick-oven---highlighted by rainbow trout and jumbo shrimp and scallops with pesto sauce. Top grilled meats are the sizzling 14-ounce rib-eye and veal chops, flavored with olive oil, rosemary and basil. Finish strong with the house’s solid rendition of tiramisu. Things go upscale when a string quartet plays during Sunday brunch. |
