Marketplace Restaurant Restaurant Review: Chef Dallas McGarity likes to bring Euro-sensibility to his plates made with Southern ingredients. Examples include the pork belly and shrimp starter with garlic lemon mayo, the salad of pickled beets with spiced almonds and Champagne vinaigrette, and the bone-in pork chop saltimbocca entrée. Choose from lamb ragù and a panko-crusted cod loin, too. Very professional, attentive waitstaff will make recommendations from the international and fairly priced wine list. A member of the Urban Bourbon Trail, the restaurant has a notable whiskey selection as well as signature craft cocktails. The sophisticated interior, with tables and chairs grouped near the piano, fireplaces or bars, feels a bit like a chic urban loft. The location downtown is ideal for before or after theater or concerts. It certainly accommodates a post-performance dessert, such as cheesecake or chocolate-nut Derby Pie.
