Marotta's Bar-Risto Restaurant Review: Chris and Dee Marotta's pizzeria, which they still run, was their springboard to moving up the food chain in 2011 with the opening of this bistro. Enter through a seasonal patio area to a converted townhouse and find a long, narrow space with a nicely-lit bar area, a variety of small tables frequently rearranged to accommodate large parties, lots of wood and an earth-tone color palette. Wood-fired pizzas and good standard Italian cuisine prevail. Standout dishes include the pescatore Adriatico, shrimp, clams, mussels, haddock, scallops and calamari simmered with cannellini beans in a bianco sauce over pasta; and rigatoni forno, ricotta-stuffed pasta tossed in vodka sauce with eggplant, meatballs or sausage, topped with mozzarella and baked. Desserts are okay, but not unusual. The wine list is varied and fairly priced, and there are more than 20 wines offered by the glass.
