Maroush II Restaurant Review: Maroush began in the large Arabic section of Edgware Road, but its success has been notable throughout London and this three-floored restaurant is no exception. Décor is plusher here than in the other branches, while the Lebanese food is its usual topnotch standard. The long menu includes 50 meze dishes, taking in all the classics like Lebanese sausages and deep-fried bean and herb croquettes. But along with well known dishes like char-grilled skewers of lamb kebabs come lambs' testicles in lemon or fried sweetbreads. It's all beautifully presented which helps. The wine list is good. But the great attraction here is its very long opening hours, so the young and not so young can party until 5am, Lebanese style. Other locations. |
