Now it seems Naperville has it all with the addition of this hopping East African spot that’s tucked into the Jefferson Hill Shops and packed with foodies from the far corners of Chicago and beyond. Rahila and Calvin Young, the husband-wife team behind the eatery, churn out aromatic fare, and it’s inspired by the cooking of Rahila’s mother. Stenciled walls give way to headily-scented African, Arab and Indian dishes like pan-seared tilapia cloaked in peanut-curry sauce with cassava leaves; cauliflower in tangy, curry-infused sauce; and char-broiled chicken spiked with masala. Not to be passed by is the gussied up take on samosas with cilantro-spiced ground turkey and fiery chutneys. Live Brazilian jazz livens up the already sultry scene.
