Mastro’s City Hall Steakhouse Restaurant Review: Owned by Mastro’s Restaurants, this spot looks a little sleeker and feels a little younger than its starchy corporate counterparts. As is true at the other Mastro's, dim lights and live entertainment create the sort of night-clubby atmosphere that encourages eating, drinking and being merry. But for those who come for the meat (not the meat market), Mastro's does remarkably well in this arena, too, offering Midwestern, corn-fed beef (USDA Prime, of course), wet-aged for 21 to 28 days and cut in the temperature-controlled, in-house butcher shop. The result is a charred and juicy slab that sizzles on a 400-degree plate. Naturally, there are chicken and seafood dishes as well as a slew of potato and vegetable sides. Forget about calories. This happy, hedonistic place is all about living in the moment.
