Masullo Pizza Restaurant Review: Family-owned and -operated, Masullo is truly a neighborhood gem with its welcoming ambience and traditional, handcrafted food. The large, open dining room is anchored by several communal tables, while colorful artwork brightens the walls. The menu is simple but in no way lacking, as locally produced, seasonal ingredients take center stage. Starters include antipasto, a daily soup and several salads, including a watermelon-jícama salad and an arugula salad with bresaola. Pizzas run the gamut from the traditional margherita and pepperoni to oyster mushroom and goat cheese, or chorizo and chili oil. Don’t pass on the house-made desserts, including a chocolate pudding, coffee pot de crème and lemon posset.
