Co-executive chefs Ben Puchowitz and Brian Lofink create winning American specialties, many with new-world touches. Ancho chile glazes a tender pork chop accompanied by white corn arepas, braised collard greens and coffee barbecue sauce. There’s an Asian hint to the foie gras and wild mushroom wontons, thanks to a garnish of daikon and a spike of ginger in the broth. We also recommend the delicate watercress and ginger risotto with a garnish of briny sea urchin nage---now, that's not something you see every day. Lunch is a real steal, with most items in the $10 to $15 range. The best bet is the $45 tasting menu at dinner. Bring a bottle you’ve been saving to this stylish BYOB---you'll be glad you did.
