The Mayan is a place for birthdays, families, and those looking to have a little fun while they eat. Every fifteen to twenty minutes, divers take to the faux cliffs, fire dancers twirl flaming batons or leopard skin-clad ladies twist on the static trapeze to the beat of jungle drums. You first walk in expecting pure cheese, but the Mexican food is surprisingly good. The warm chips and salsa are more than satisfactory; the fajitas come with tender grilled chicken breast and fresh, crisp tricolor peppers; and the molten lava cake with a lit firecracker sparkler could easily feed a family of four.
