THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Maye's Original Oyster House Restaurant Review

: Opened in 1867, Maye’s is San Francisco’s second-oldest restaurant. These days, it serves predictable old-style dishes: veal Parmigiano, lobster Thermidor and shrimp Newburg are prominently featured. But this old war-horse has undeniable charm. Genial waiters seat you in a dark, cozy room filled with photos of old San Francisco, where you can get comfortable with oysters Rockefeller or the signature pan-fried sand dabs. The regal bar is a good place to find yourself at happy hour.
