McCormick & Schmick's Restaurant Review: The El Segundo branch of this Portland-based chain seems to be resting on its laurels. The selection of exotic seafood from around the world is as wide as ever and it is competently prepared, but the presentation is often sloppy and the service careless and rushed. The fried calamari is a meager portion for the price you pay, and the clam chowder is more glutinous than comforting. The oysters and other raw seafood options are a little more exciting. Perhaps it's the guaranteed crowd from the adjacent office buildings and movie theater, perhaps inattentive management, but this restaurant is not living up to its potential. |
