 The fresh seafood, chic atmosphere and friendly service make this spot a fine catch for a business meeting, date or straightforward quest for good food. Plus, there’s always the chance you'll spy one of the city’s pro athletes or VIP politicians beings seated behind one of the draped corner booths. High-backed booths and tables in alcoves help to curb some of the din in the wood-paneled dining room, which walks the line of casual sophistication. Start with a hefty crab cake, and then make a tough decision from the “fresh sheet” of deliveries that day. If halibut is listed, go for it and hope it is teamed with a side of whipped potatoes and steamed chard. A tip for early diners: happy hour means tasty bar grub and drinks at budget-conscious prices.
