The fresh seafood, chic atmosphere and friendly service make this spot a fine catch for a business meeting, date or straightforward quest for good food. High-backed booths and tables in alcoves help to curb some of the din in the wood-paneled dining room, which walks the line of casual sophistication. Start with a hefty crab cake and then make a tough decision from the “Fresh Sheet” of deliveries that day. If halibut is listed, go for it and hope it is teamed with a side of whipped potatoes and steamed chard. A tip for early diners: happy hours add up to fine bar grub and drinks at very reasonable prices.
