| This branch of the popular Portland, Oregon-based chain is handsomely dressed up with dark woods, brass and leaded glass. A cozy bar is ideal for casual meals and the patio is a popular good-weather option, particularly during the restaurant's lively happy hours. Despite its daily-changing menu offering dozens of fresh fish specialties---and always a good selection of Pacific Northwest oysters---we've always been a bit under-whelmed by this restaurant. Although all of the dishes (Hawaiian thresher shark with brandy-black pepper sauce, Oregon ling cod with scallops in rosemary beurre blanc) sound terrific on the menu, few of them quite live up to expectations. Appetizers tend to be more reliable, including crab cakes with spicy hollandaise sauce, rock shrimp popcorn with rémoulade, and a killer New England clam chowder. Other locations. |
