 The river view captivates at this Jersey Shore restaurant located on a spit of sand between the Shrewsbury and the Atlantic Ocean. The interior is simple and appealing with wide windows that make the very best of the location. Seafood shines with dishes such as red snapper piccata, the fish pan-seared with onion, tomato, capers and julienne vegetables, served over rice napped with a lemon white sauce; or try the lobster “rappa” made with sautéed Maine lobster, spinach, onions, garlic and tomatoes, the pan deglazed with white wine, with a finish of fresh mozzarella and a toss with linguine. There are unexpected treasures such as grilled apple and apricot brandy pork chops, topped with an apple brandy demi-glace, served with a sweet potato cake and sautéed fresh spinach. Homemade desserts are ever-changing. Service is polished and friendly. The wine list is well chosen to match the cuisine with lots of selections, all priced fairly.
