Reminding us of a modern Milanese eatery, the dining room for the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel looks to Italy for much of its menu inspiration. Medici is ideal for a quiet dinner before or after a performance at the nearby Cobb Energy Center. Dine lightly with a salad or fine soup or a small pizza. Or opt for more substantial fare with either a strip steak or good seafood. Pasta is limited to a single dish: linguine with clams. Desserts range from such standards as a “Death by Chocolate” cheesecake to ice cream. The wine list is chiefly composed of California selections, with a couple of offerings from New Zealand and, oddly, only a pair of Italian wines.
