Mediterraneo Restaurant Review: Tune out the sights and sounds of cars zooming along Greenwich Avenue and just taste the cuisine at Mediterraneo. Your palate will be convinced that it's dining along the Greek, Italian or Moroccan coast. Authentic nautical décor is seen in a highly polished planked floor and bar top, and coiled lines hanging from the ends of the banquettes. Cross-the-Ionian Sea delicacies include grilled marinated lamb kebabs and kofte served with spiced basmati rice and Greek yogurt. Pizza with sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto di Parma and baby arugula, and the chicken breast "Milanese” served with tomato and baby arugula salad, fresh mozzarella and lemon recall flavors from the Italian peninsula. The menu also pays homage to seasonal and Mediterranean flavors with appetizers like butternut squash and ginger soup with Macoun apple purée, and charred Portuguese octopus, fennel, blood orange, olives and sherry vinegar. If you don't have a yacht, set sail for Mediterraneo. You can even eat on the afterdeck --- sorry mate, we mean the outside patio. Service is professional.
