The Melting Pot Restaurant Review: Stainless-steel fondue pots and contemporary décor keep this place from feeling like a trip to the ’70s. The wine list makes it a sophisticated night out for dates or co-workers. Most people begin with one of the cheese fondue options which the servers prepare tableside. You can pair that with a salad for a light meal or opt for the full four-course experience. For the main course, you will have to decide on a broth (three different flavors) or an oil in which to swirl the meat or fish pieces of your choice. Everything from tofu and vegetables, to twin lobster tails, to filet mignon medallions can be dunked here. The chocolate fondue has myriad variations of flavors and stuff to dip like strawberries, cheesecake, marshmallows and pound cake. (There’s no sin in stopping in only for dessert.) It won’t be the most incredible meal you’ll ever have, but it will be entertaining. |
