Meme Restaurant Review

: The first thing diners notice about this Mediterranean eatery in the West Village is the décor: a high pressed-tin ceiling caps a room bedecked with mirrors and posters of old French advertisements. The menu, though, is anything but Gallic. Mémé serves up good lamb kebabs (and a slightly spicy goat cheese-topped lamb burger) and thick merguez sausages on plates with dollops of creamy hummus and sides of fresh green salads. There are other standards too, like chicken tagine and grilled octopus, as well as a bevy of pasta dishes. There are a few affordable wine selections hailing from the Mediterranean.
