Memories of China Restaurant Review:

When the Chinese tennis star Ken Lo opened his restaurant, it was a revelation. Now, sadly, the urbane owner is no longer with us, but the restaurant has remained much as he founded it, letting new trends in Chinese restaurants pass by. But why change, when it is so successful? Start with nicely cooked wonton with sweet-and-sour sauce, five-spiced spare ribs or steamed chicken and prawn dumplings. The long list continues with a trawl through regional Chinese cooking and even goes for Mongolian barbecue of lamb cooked in lettuce puffs. It's all delightfully familiar and takes place in an equally comfortable setting, with well spaced tables and red and gold colours. Set menus £31.95 to £49.95.
