Baily's Restaurant Review:

This may not be St. Helena, but after a day of tasting in the rolling vineyards of the Temecula Valley and browsing for antiques in Old Town, you might believe --- at least for a fleeting moment --- that you're in the Napa Valley. The second-floor Baily's, owned by local Baily Vineyard & Winery, is one of the more formal restaurants in Temecula, with candlelit, white linen-draped tables generously spaced in several intimate, art-filled rooms. Starters include an inventive tiger shrimp cocktail served with homemade whiskey cocktail sauce, and a velvety butternut squash soup drizzled with crème fraîche. For main courses, consider the signature salmon Wellington in a basil-cream sauce or chicken schnitzel in a creamy lemon-caper sauce. For dessert, look for crème brûlée or white chocolate cheesecake. The wine list extends far beyond the immediate surroundings, offering interesting and reasonably priced bottles from around the globe. There’s also a lengthy cocktail menu. The Baily family's more casual restaurant, Front Street Bar & Grill, sits on the ground floor of the same building. Note that the After Eleven club promotion takes over both levels on Friday and Saturday nights after 10 p.m., with a $5 cover charge after 11 p.m.
