THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS The Beatrice Inn Restaurant Review:

The Beatrice Inn, once an ultra-hip and trendy nightlife spot in the West Village, shut down and many presumed it to be long gone. But leave it to Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter, who seems to have a second career at resurrecting wilting restaurants and bars and turning them into hard-to-get-into restaurants (see: Monkey Bar, The Waverly Inn). The Beatrice Inn is no exception. What comes out of the kitchen might not be particularly earth (or taste bud) shattering, but that’s beside the point. Flavorless gnudi can’t even be saved by prosciutto --- you might want to head to the nearby The Spotted Pig for the gastropub’s signature Italian dumpling dish. Roast chicken tends to come out dryer than it should. Rack of lamb is tender and done right but not worth the wallet-busting price. Likewise, the bone-marrow-topped rib-eye (for two) is very good but the heavy tab may make you think twice. The wine list is a nice one, but like everything here way over-priced. Desserts are simple but noteworthy: the classic crème brûlée hits all the right notes.
