Black Cow Cafe Restaurant Review:
Established in 1993, this café has become an all-day destination. Early in the morning, beginning at 6 a.m., locals pop in to the coffee bar for a cup of joe and a freshly made muffin or cookie. It isn’t unusual to find the same crowd returning for lunch and dinner to sample Black Cow’s all-American menu. Appetizers are highlighted by the café’s signature three-bean chili with homemade cornbread, as well as a grilled artichoke with red pepper aïoli and potato skins with fixings. Black Cow's most popular entrées can best be described as stick-to-your-ribs. Think stew-like beef stroganoff over penne, country-fried filet mignon, and tempura-fried fish ‘n’ chips. Not to fret if you've got a lighter appetite, there are also salads, sandwiches and half-roasted chicken dishes on the menu.
