Cafe Fiorello Restaurant Review:

Proclaiming to be the “longest running show on Broadway,” this vivacious Italian eatery --- just a jeté from Lincoln Center --- has become a decades-old staple for theater-goers. The menu doesn’t deviate from the doctrine of “cucina di mama,” but that’s okay, especially when it’s done right, as it is here. Pesto ravioli, filled with ricotta, arugula, spinach and pecorino, is a favorite among regulars. “Secondi” not surprisingly consist of dishes like veal chop scaloppine and osso buco. But stick to Fiorello’s fish menu: whole roasted branzino and balsamic-glazed yellowfin tuna with lentil salad are worthy of an encore. Vegetarians and vegans have more selections than usual, including a special meat-free antipasto table.
