Celtic Crossing Memphis Restaurant Review:

Celtic Crossing owner D.J. Naylor hails from western Ireland, so as one would imagine, his pub is as authentic as possible in the American South. The wooden interior lends the place an old-world ambience, but the atmosphere is casual as can be as regulars gather for screenings of soccer games or concerts of traditional Irish music. The menu is appropriately dominated by Irish dishes, such as shepherd’s pie and fish ‘n’ chips. There’s some creativity with Irish offerings, such as the Harp-battered chicken and chips. And there are American standards, such as a grilled ham and pimiento cheese sandwich or potato skins for the less adventurous. Every Sunday, brunch features live Celtic music and a full Irish Galtee Mountain breakfast of bangers, mash, black-and-white pudding, eggs and soda bread. Irish flair continues in the desserts, such as chocolate cheesecake with Baileys Irish Cream. After dinner hours, the place caters to hip, young Midtowners eager for Guinness on tap. Celtic Crossing makes up for shortcomings in its wine list with a line-up of Scotch and Irish whiskey.
