Charlie's Trio is what neighborhood Italian eateries are all about, a place with a menu that was as in style in the '50s as it is today. Loyal customers come for the solid red-sauced dishes such as a meaty bolognese, spicy linguine diablo, or a variety of Parmigiana preparations with eggplant, veal or chicken. While you can order a pork chop or scampi, we recommend sticking with reliable choices like stacked lasagna or the "big man" pizza topped with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, onions, olives and green peppers. To satisfy diverse crust preferences, there are also Sicilian- and Roman-style pizzas. A small draft beer selection and a few California wines are available.
