Denino's Pizzeria & Tavern Restaurant Review:

Every borough of New York takes pride in its pizza. Staten Island is no exception. And it even has a few legendary spots. Denino’s is one of them, open since 1937 and still run by the Denino family. The pizza is worth the trek (if you don’t live nearby). The crust is slightly thick but very nicely balanced between soft, crispy and chewy. The margherita pizza is a good start; however, toppings lovers might want to try the “Garbage” pie, which is covered with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, meatballs and onion. Service can be a bit gruff but that’s all in the charm. If it gets to you, the drinks are unbelievably cheap, so have another glass of wine and enjoy the pizza.
