Dish Restaurant Review:

This little restaurant on La Cañada-Flintridge's main drag, a venture of Cindy Costner, is as homey as can be: pastel-colored tables with hand-painted flowers around the borders, some sturdy furniture that might have been salvaged from Nana's garage sale, and cozy booths along the rounded perimeter. Down-home comfort cuisine is the name of the game, including breakfast hotcakes made with cornmeal or whole-wheat flour. For dinner, one can opt for braised pork belly tacos, chicken gumbo, pappardelle with mushrooms and garlic, and bone-in roast ham with creamy grits. Specialty martinis and a limited wine list are also available.
