DoSirak Restaurant Review:

This dozen-table, unassuming eatery on a leafy block in the Central Village serves up Korean staples with a seemingly endless supply of complimentary kimchi. College students and office workers pop in for quick and affordable bowls of bibimbap, which has a proclivity to transform into mush; generous portions of spicy soups; cold buckwheat noodle dishes laced with fresh veggies; and hearty stews filled with spicy kimchi. The Ssam, sometimes inaccurately described as a “Korean burrito,” is one of the menu standouts: a plate of chopped spicy pork, spinach and sprouts are accompanied by large lettuce leaves which are used to wrap the ingredients (hence the comparison to burritos). The result is a refreshing but savory snack. Nicely priced Korean beers are available for washing it all down.
