Duangrat’s Thai Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Theres a Thai restaurant on almost every corner in the Washington area, but Duangrats has a particular reputation in town. We appreciate the handsome setting: The walls are hung with Thai icons and art objects, the servers are dressed in traditional Thai costumes, and the tables are covered in silky cloths. Our favorites include moist chicken bhram with peanut sauce, gingery chicken over crispy noodles, sweet-spicy pork and trout grilled in banana leaves with tamarind. Even if you dont usually order dessert in Asian restaurants, order it here: Both the black sticky rice pudding with coconut cream sauce and the baked mungbean mousse, like a rich bread pudding, are delicious. The restaurant owns a Thai market around the corner.
