Eli's Table Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: Eli Zabar’s empire of delis, wine bars and takeout has a grown-up dining home at Eli’s Table on the Upper East Side. In a space that formerly housed Taste, another iteration of Eli’s casual all-day restaurants, Eli’s Table welcomes evening guests in a retro setting with tiled floors, colorful wall paper and beautifully set tables.

Likes: Whatever is served is the freshest of the season.
Dislikes: Pricing seems unnecessarily high.

Food & Drinks: Ingredients are farm to table at their best, with menus changing according to what has been sourced at the greenmarket. Small plates take their cues from Eli’s more fast-casual eateries with seasonal choices like butternut squash and apple soup or roasted stuffed baby artichokes. Main courses include pastas, short rib, chicken, steak and seafood. For dessert, try the simple yet delicious baked apple to finish your meal. A serious look has been taken at bringing unexpected wines to these establishments, and Eli’s Table prides itself on an evolving list of global as well as local selections. Servers are knowledgeable about both the cuisine and the wine list. All this comes with a price, true to Eli’s other restaurants like E.A.T. and Eli’s Essentials and Wine Bar.
