Housed in a Gold Rush-era building, Fat City attracts tourists and locals alike with its historic charm and extensive menu. The interior features original brick walls, tiled floors and stained glass windows, while the wooden bar dates back to 1876. Service is fast and friendly --- perfect after a day of sightseeing. Starters include everything from nachos to pot stickers to shrimp cocktails, while mains include salads, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, stir-fries and steak. Don't pass on the Fat's famous banana cream pie for dessert --- it has been a local favorite for more than seven decades.
