THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Fat Radish Restaurant Review:

It’s tempting to call this Lower East Side restaurant a gastropub. After all, it has a casual atmosphere and rustic décor (think exposed brick walls, paint-chipped tables and chairs), plus a nice selection of craft brews and a well edited global wine selection. The food, however, is actually more thoughtful than most gastropubs, listing the provenance of ingredients and having a decidedly English feel. Ultra-tender duck, sitting atop kombucha squash and sprinkled with wheat berries, is alone worth the trip. Romanesco cauliflower is bland but saved by a perky curry yogurt sauce. The more adventurous diner might try the mako shark vindaloo paired with a spicy bean chutney. Again, this isn’t really a gastropub.
