Although the menu has high points and the waitstaff is attentive and cheerful, we wish this local landmark was aging more gracefully.

Fishwife Restaurant Review:
The Fishwife has been around for years, and its waitstaff is attentive and cheerful. The décor, however, felt tired on our last visit, and piped-in '70s music didn’t help. We suspect any hint of change would lead to an outcry among regulars, so maybe things are left well enough alone for a reason. Grilled Cajun oysters were cooked to tender, but were overshadowed by their plating on a slaw swimming in dressing. Blackened grilled swordfish over crab ravioli had potential --- house-made and packed with crab, the gold- and purple-streaked pasta and meat were overwhelmed by a rich, spicy sauce. Fish ‘n’ chips, however, were crispy and delightful. Stick to the basics and avoid fancy sauces and you won't be sorry.
