The Green Well Restaurant Review:

The Green Well is chic and industrial inside, with an atmosphere that feels sparse and refreshing. It could be the building’s dedication to “green” construction practices that makes it so easy to take in, or maybe it’s the cool green walls and ambient music. This is a gastropub at heart, and slow-cooking and innovative cuisine is the name of the game. Appetizers include seasonal samplings of cheeses, sausages and spreads, while a variety of small, sharing plates offer up mushroom-stuffed ravioli, duck quesadillas, carpaccio, mussels and calamari. Entrées are an eclectic affair with everything from jambalaya to gourmet macaroni and cheese. Beyond-the-norm salads, homemade soups and sandwiches round out the selection. At meal’s end, score mousse or milkshakes and brewed or French-pressed, fair-trade organic coffee. There are over 20 beers on tap, including Michigan craft brews, micro-brews and seasonal selections, and there are wine flights, too. The Green Well keeps things local whenever possible.
