Grillfish Restaurant Review:

While popular with tourists, Grillfish has a loyal following of neighborhood regulars. Since it opened in the 1990s, it has expanded, resulting in laid-back double dining rooms, one mainly for private events. Dine at the bar or plop down onto one of the banquettes that stretch the length of the restaurant. The menus are posted on huge overhead chalkboards. Start with steamed mussels or clams in garlic wine broth or spicy tomato sauce. Fish from the grill include red snapper, grouper, mahi mahi, salmon, swordfish and Maine lobster plated with corn on the cob and spaghetti for a New England meets Little Italy in South Beach vibe. There are also steaks and chops with a choice of sauces. For dessert, consider the mango Key lime pie and brownie sundaes. Wines are divided into fish friendly reds, fish festive sparkling wines and seafood whites, all fairly priced.
