About the restaurant: This Oceanside spot serves up sustainable sushi that goes way beyond traditional rolls. It all pairs well with the saké menu and modern beachy décor. There is live music or DJs spinning on the weekends, adding to the compelling vibe.
Food & Drinks: The menu offers more than two-dozen specialty creations such as the Chuck Norris comprised of spicy crab and shrimp tempura topped with tuna, avocado and green onions. Or try the Mellow Yellow with its spicy tuna and shrimp tempura finished with kampachi, avocado and salsa. Nigiri, sashimi, Asian-influenced small plates and main dishes like chicken udon soup are also good choices. Desserts are limited to cheesecake and vanilla or green tea ice cream. Soju cocktails, sake, wine and local beers are available. A sibling restaurant is located in Old Town at 3964 Harney St., 619-295-3272.
