Island Pride Restaurant Review:
Assuming the space formerly occupied by a Caribbean take-out place, this gleaming eatery stars a local Jamaican cook who produces some rather wildly flavored dishes ladled out in very generous portions. Tender fried plantains, goat curry, jerk chicken and oxtail stew are standouts. Fortunately, the cook/owner is usually on hand to answer questions about the food, some of which may be unfamiliar to patrons, such as ackee, salt fish or brown-stew chicken. But rest assured, whatever you select, you will end up dreaming of beaches and sunny days.
