Jungsik Restaurant Review:

If you're used to finding your Korean food in Manhattan's K-Town, the formal atmosphere here may be jarring. This is Korean refined, fitting squarely in fine-dining territory. The wine list is extensive, built for those with money to spare. Opt for something lighter and crisper, as the food is delicate and the flavors subtle enough that big wines will overpower the beauty on the plate. Although everything can be ordered à la carte, the ten-course tasting menu is a better value and swings through must-haves like the delicate fried oyster with an umami-rich anchovy sauce, tuna belly with sesame and crispy rice, and red snapper in a subtle tom yom broth. Little amuse-bouches appear throughout, but the macarons presented alongside the check were worth the visit alone.
