Kona Cafe Restaurant Review:

Brilliant mosaic tile work and carved-wood masks liven up this busy hotel restaurant. Tonga Toast, the legendary breakfast favorite, is one of Disney World's most requested recipes: banana-stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar and fried. Served, of course, with freshly brewed Kona coffee. Lunch is hit-or-miss, but we can recommend the stir-fried Asian noodles. Dinner choices are mostly worth the trip, starting with sticky wings for two or the mussels in a broth scented with lemon grass and Thai basil. For a main course, the ginger-crusted rib-eye with tamarind jus is a standout, as is the sustainable fish with crisp tostones and macadamia-nut beurre blanc. Chocolate lovers must indulge in the seductive chocolate Kilauea torte filled with warm hazelnut and chocolate ganache that spills out when the torte is pierced with a fork. We also suggest the pineapple upside-down cake with lemon grass and caramel sauces.
