Kosher Cajun New York Deli & Grocery Restaurant Review:

Kosher Cajun's matzoh ball soup would remind a New Yorker of home, and while its J&N Special --- a sandwich with hot corned beef and pastrami on rye with mustard, horseradish and coleslaw --- may court overkill, it will still do just fine. Dr. Brown's sodas, almost a dozen of them, are the beverages of choice. The cheesecake is the real deal, imported from the Big Apple. The spacious and spotless surroundings along a large glass wall overlook a parking lot full of SUVs and minivans. Kosher Cajun deli doubles as a grocery store selling items that are hard to find locally (including a respectable assortment of kosher wines) and also as a caterer. Speaking of hard to find, this is one of only a handful of places in the city that know how to produce great chopped liver. Owner Joel Brown has developed a strong following, largely because of his hospitality and knowledge of his product. Seeking authentic black-and-whites for dessert? Look no further.
