Lair Restaurant & Lounge Restaurant Review:

At first, it’s a little hard to categorize Lair. It’s a lounge with an emphasis on specialty cocktails that include ingredients like saffron-infused gin and chili pepper agave as well as red and white sangría. It’s a club where after 10 p.m. a DJ begins spinning. It’s a restaurant with a menu of dim sum-inspired dishes by Chris Cheung (late of Nobu and Monkey Bar). It’s all of the above, which doesn’t always serve it well. But if you come here hungry, you can dine nicely with such dishes as chicken and foie gras-stuffed buns, roasted bone marrow, and tender chicken pieces paired with sheets of crispy chicken skin. For something sweet, don’t miss the walnut-crusted marshmallows.
