Leon's Full Service Restaurant Review:

Leon's Full Service occupies a repurposed former filling station and one-time antiques shop, and populates its multiple spaces with area denizens who come for the distinguished beer lineup. The list of whiskeys, cocktails and draught and bottle brews reaches to the depths and heights of brewdom, and the wine list ranges widely over a swath of regions and grape types without ever connecting with a conventional or commercial brand. Snacks include fine frites with a variety of sauces, most based on the South's highly regarded Duke's mayonnaise. We've enjoyed the head-on shrimp in a mildly spicy broth and the deviled eggs with smoked tomato and preserved poblanos. Consider the mussels with chorizo and cioppino, too. The excellent burger gets competition from the open-face beef brisket sandwich. Numerous salads, a vegetable risotto and a mushroom-and-grain terrine keep vegetarians happy. For dessert, try the hazelnut and sea salt dark chocolate bar. The kitchen also churns daily changing ice creams. When the place was refurbished, fairly dark, textured siding added warmth, while the generous fenestration kept an eye on the street activity.
