Luzzo's Restaurant Review:

Luzzo's in the Italian restaurant-laden East Village stands out for its Neapolitan authenticity. Try the crisp, yet still chewy, coal-oven pizza (the margherita is a classic but the marinara adds flavorful anchovies, oregano, garlic and basil), or any of the homemade pastas such as spaghetti with prosciutto, arugula and Gorgonzola. The artichoke gratin and carpaccio in lemon dressing appetizers are also winners. Luzzo’s salads are always fresh and large enough to share. If you can’t decide what to order, the servers are friendly and happy to offer suggestions. The atmosphere is lively, amidst the dark wood and red-checked tablecloth décor. Because it’s a small place, it can get crowded, but just like in Italy, you’ll never be rushed out. Feel free to linger over creamy tiramisu and a glass of refreshing limoncello --- as long as you can ignore the jealous stares of waiting diners.
