Mac's Steakhouse Restaurant Review:

Mac's Steakhouse in Huntington Village offers a good variety of options on its classic menu. Appetizers include crab cakes and short rib cakes; share plates range from tenderloin meatballs to lobster quesadillas. There’s also a cold bar with choices like oyster shooters, clams on the half shell and shrimp cocktail. Something falls short, though, when the "signature surf and turf” proves bland and unexciting. The six-ounce lobster tail is devoid of flavor and has a rubbery texture, and its accompanying filet mignon seriously underwhelms the taste buds. Choose instead one of the dry-aged steaks, including a 60-day bone-in New York strip, for the true steak connoisseur. A frozen cappuccino parfait with cinnamon custard sauce and chocolate pecan crunch is a pleasant finish.
